MainOutfits — Ulala’s main outfits throughout the series.

Outfits & Costumes are usable costumes that Ulala customizes into in the Space Channel 5 series. Most outfits are unlocked by default, or by completing certain tasks. In Space Channel 5 and Space Channel 5: Part 2, Ulala will change outfits automatically between reports. However, in Space Channel 5: Part 2, the player can choose from a large variety of outfits and costumes to wear during re-runs.

Outfits[]

In Space Channel 5, Ulala will wear different outfits depending on the report being played. As there are four reports in the game, Ulala has four different outfit.

Normal Gear
- The outfit Ulala wears in Report 1. A summery reporter’s outfit with the most up-to-date features and a revealing miniskirt.^[1] It focuses on the ease of movement and is made from ultra-stretchable fabric. The way it’s cut at the joints is designed so that her arms can move with maximum efficiency.
Secret Gear
- The outfit Ulala wears in Report 2. Not only has the miniskirt has been changed into shorts, but the outfit’s collar has also been removed so that the maximum movement and weight reduction has been accomplished.^[2] In a way, it’s a design suited for covert reports. It’s extremely breathable and perfect for high pressure areas like spacecrafts and submarines
Gogo Gear
- The outfit Ulala wears in Report 3. Wouldn’t it be a perfect winter outfit with those long leaves and trim?^[2] When traveling in outer space at high speeds, even small dust particles can damage the human body, so this suit was designed to completely protect the reporter from any incidents. The helmet resembles a fishbowl, and that’s where all the air gets stored.
Deluxe Gear
- The outfit Ulala wears in Report 4. With a long-sleeved shirt + miniskirt combo, it’s a secret outfit that looks similar to a Santa suit but still has that womanly appeal to it.^[2] According to the outfit’s designer, the suit is a “spacesuit that still covers the revealed areas with a super-transparent material that is created for ventures in outer space.” And the “red gloves are there to prevent the hands from getting frostbite in the cold vacuum of space,” but honestly it just adds to the Lady Santa look.

In Space Channel 5: Part 2 there are a total of 40 outfits and costumes Ulala can wear. During the first run through, Ulala will change into certain outfits (namely the first eight listed) between reports and some screen transitions. During re-runs, the player can have Ulala wear any outfit or costume they please.

Channel 5 Retro Gear
- Available from start
- Newly-supplied company reporting fatigues. Ultra elastic material for easy movements.
Flower Costume
- Clear Report 2
- Aromatic Multi-Functional Suit. Regulates body temperature & humidity for extra pleasant reporting at all time.
Gogo Gear (w/o helmet)
- Clear Report 3
- Designed to protect the human body from space dust at high speeds.
Gogo Gear (w/helmet)
- Clear Report 4
- Must have for any space-roaming citizen. The helmet can usually be stored in the back.
Spy Suit
- Clear Report 5
- Designed for infiltration. A special wire that attaches to the back & allows the wearer to move like a spider.
Old Retro Gear
- Clear Report 6
- The Suit Ulala used during the Morolian invasion. It was in her closet.
Old Retro Gear (Dirty)
- Clear Report 6 in World 2.
- Got thoroughly dirtied when Ulala was attacked. A collector's gem!
Super Ulala Costume
- Clear Report 6
- A super costume that is an amalgamation of dance energy. Rumored to be just underwear.
School Uniform
- Clear 24 consecutive trials in Ulala's dance mode.
- An altered version of a uniform from School M.
China Dress
- Clear 100 consecutive trials in Ulala's dance mode.
- Used for the undercover investigation of the Shanghai Restaurant.
Woolen Wear
- Clear Report 1 with ratings of 100%.
- Ulala wore this at a previous part-time job.
Stealth Suit
- Over 3 hours of game time. (Steam)
- REZ game save in your VMU. (Dreamcast)
Pudding Costume
- Clear Report 2 with ratings of 100%.
- A Pudding costume.
Pine Costume
- Clear Report 3 with ratings of 100%.
- A Pine costume.
Synchro Suit
- Clear 34 consecutive trials in Ulala's Dance Mode while wearing the Morolian Suit.
Space Michael Suit
- Clear Report 4 with ratings of 100%.
- A Space Michael costume.
Jaguar Costume
- Clear Report 5 with ratings of 100%.
- A Jaguar costume.
Peace Costume
- Clear Report 2 in World 2.
- A President Peace costume used to create a decoy. Second hand goods.
Noize Costume
- Clear Report 3
- A Noize costume. It has a secret function that makes the wearer appear smaller.
Evila (upgrade) Suit
- Clear Report 4 in World 2
- This suit is in fact just body paint and color contacts.
Dancing Purge Suit
- Clear Report 6 in World 2
- A mysterious suit designed to confused to confuse enemies with little purple disco-mirrors.
Neo-Japanese Astronaut
- Save the Neo-Japanese Astronauts.
- Used when they sneaked into the tour.
Mr. Nervous Suit
- Save Mr. Nervous
- Slip into it when you want to be wimpy.
Chef Suit
- Save the Chef (green) during game play.
- Used in the kitchen investigation.
Space Primary School Suit
- Save the Space Primary School Band Quartet during game play.
- Used for the investigation of underground cramming school.
Rescue Squad Suit
- Save the Space Rescue Squad during game play.
- For when you want that manly feeling.
Granny Suit
- Save the Space Granny during game play.
- Used for the undercover infiltration into the Geriatric Bandits Hideout
Blank Suit
- Play the game for 3 or more hours. (Steam)
- Have a Space Channel 5 save in your VMU. (Dreamcast)
- Former station chief's costume. The Cheat command is printed inside the clothes.
Hard Core Sexy Suit
- Amass over 6 hours of game time. (Steam)
- Space Channel 5 gave save. (Dreamcast)
- A risque suit if ever we've seen one. You may as well be a pin up!
Robot Suit (silver)
- Clear 7 consecutive trials in Ulala's dance mode while wearing the Morolian suit.
Robot Suit (macho)
- Clear 14 consecutive trials in Ulala's dance mode while wearing the Morolian suit.
Morolian Suit
- Clear Report 6
- Something will happen if you play Ulala's Dance Mode while wearing this suit.
Boss Morolian Suit
- Clear All Reports (1-6) with ratings of 100%.
- Boss Morolian suit.
Eighty-eight Man Suit
- Clear Report 3 in World 2
- Used to infiltrate Channel 88 to report on the scandal that occurred there.
Cloaked Purge Suit
- Clear all 100 trials in Ulala's dance mode while wearing the Morolian suit.
Striped Suit
- Clear Report 1 in 2-Players mode.
- A sample received from the shop owner. Ulala made some improvements to it herself.
Camouflage Costume
- Clear Report 2 in 2-Players mode.
- Used to infiltrate the evil Crimson Cosmos ginger processing plant.
Black Gear
- More than 10 hours play time. (Steam)
- More than 30 hours play time. (Playstation 2 and Dreamcast)
- Used to infiltrate the leather sweat shop. Was made in a rush, and so the colors fade easily.
Peach Suit
- Clear 53 consecutive trials in 2-Players Ulala's dance mode.
- Ulala's personal wear for shoping dates.
Coconut Ulala
- Clear 53 consecutive trials in Ulala's dance mode.
- Not really a suit--just a tan!

Items[]

Including Ulala's normal microphone, there are a total of 12 items Ulala can equip in Part 2. Ulala will always use the Ulala Mic during the first run through. During re-runs, the player is able to choose from the 11 other items to equip in place of her normal microphone.

Ulala Mic
- Newly produced company mic. Ulala painted it blue with out even asking.
King of Frypans
- Present from the Chef (green). Proves his victory in the 225th Annual Space Cook-off. Has a high heat conductivity radio.
Ice Cream Cone
- Designed by Noize. Was first designed for the undercover investigation of the shopping mall (comes with hidden camera).
Legendary Egg Beater
- Present from the Chef (aqua). Made from metal extracted from some ancient ruins. Great for making homemade cream!
Lollipop
- Present from the Band Students. A bit sticky. (Pre-licked)
Lantern
- Given by a Neo-Japanese Astronaut. A souvenir from Edo village in Sunlight City. An effective light made from natural rice paper.
Super Ladle
- Present from the Chef (yellow). Cookware with a hardness of over 8 billion die. Only two others exist in the entire galaxy.
Big Mug
- Present From the Rescue Squad. Perfect for Milky Way Ginger Ales. Includes a semi-natural cooling device.
Folding Fan
- Present from Class President Nervous. President Nervous' Mum's favorite fan. It creates a pleasant scent when you wave it.
Crimson Rose
- Present from Jaguar. Laced with Jaguar's passion, this rose will never die.
Ear of Corn
- Designed by Noize. Mic used in the undercover report on the mega farm. It was used to lower the guards of opponents.
Green Onion
- Present from Pine. All-natural and picked from an actual garden. Absolute ambrosia when cooked properly.
