The BuffBots are Rhythm Robots, Shadow's backups and enemies who only appeared in Space Channel 5: Part 2.

Report 4: The End for Space Channel 5?!
Four BuffBots act as backup dancers for Shadow in the dance battle to save Space Michael.
Report 5: The Spies Get Revenge!
Four BuffBots emerge from the shuttle Shadow is on and assist him in the Battle of the Bands against the heroes team. Each robot corresponds to someone on the other team (Pine's drums, Pudding's guitar, Space Michael's singing, or Hoorg's dancing) while Shadow covers Ulala on piano.
After Ulala's team winning in the Battle of the Bands, Shadow starts to flicker back to Jaguar. This makes the four BuffBots disguise themselves as Shadow, turning into Shadow Impostors to keep Ulala from saving Jaguar. This makes a shooting segment starts, where Ulala must shoot at the BuffBots and save Jaguar.
Once Jaguar is brought back, the BuffBots aren't seen again. In Report 6, an upgraded version of them known as Bodyguards appears as enemies.
Ulala Dance Mode
There is a battle against a BuffBot in the Ulala Dance Mode minigame, though only if Ulala is wearing the Morolian outfit. The robot appears by achieving 14% views and is defeated by achieving 24% views. During its battle, the track "Getting The Truth" plays.
Costume
Unlockable BuffBot costume.
There is a BuffBot costume which is unlocked by achieving 24% views in the Ulala Dance Mode minigame with the Morolian suit. In other words, by beating the BuffBot that appears in the Ulala Dance Mode when Ulala wears the Morolian suit.

Trivia[]
- The BuffBots are the only Robots to play instruments.
- The BuffBot costume is the biggest costume in the game.
- Curiously, it is listed right after the smallest costume in the game (the Silver Walker costume).
- Ulala's BuffBot costume almost completely obscures the player's view in the shooting segment against the Shadow Impostors in the Report 5.
- Also during the Space Bird Mistress shooting segment in Report 2, the BuffBot costume will completely cover one of the flowers which spawn Rhythm Robots and hostages.
- The BuffBot costume also obstructs much of the screen while rescuing the Space Rescue Team in Report 4, except it is the legs doing the obscuring in this case.
