Bodyguards are Rhythm Robots, Purge's backups and enemies who only appeared in Space Channel 5: Part 2.

Report 6: Purge’s T.V. Special
Two Bodyguards first appear during the cutscene prior the Report 6, where they backup Purge in his song. Later, after Ulala and her team destroying the Mass-produced Peace Carriers, these same Bodyguards will attack her. The two Bodyguards will send several Silver Walkers to attack the heroes. Ulala will need to memorize and copy the directions given by the Bodyguards to protect herself and counter. In the last move, the Bodyguards themselves will try to attack the heroes and Ulala will have the opportunity to destroy them.
Later in the second half of the report, eight Bodyguards come to assist Purge the Great, when President Peace is freed and the giant of a boss begins to flicker. These Bodyguards backup Purge the Great by singing "Chu", "Hey", and eventually crooning along with Purge during the final lyrics. Once Purge the Great is defeated, the Bodyguards aren't seem again, although they were most likely destroyed.

"Purge’s bodyguard Robo. It has a circuit embedded in its body that makes him perfectly obedient to Purge, and it’s top priority is keeping Purge’s body safe. It will only respond to Purge’s voice."
Trivia[]
- When the two Bodyguards behind Purge go attack the heroes, Silver Flyers are sent along with them. However, when the battle begins, the Bodyguards attack by placing Silver Walkers instead.
