Space Cheerleaders are minor characters in Space Channel 5: Part 2, members of a group called "Go! Go! Channel 5!" and Channel 5 employees.

Appearance[]

The captain cheerleaders have fair skin, pigtails and blonde hair. They wear a red sleeveless uniform with a blue Channel 5 logo printed in the chest and an orange belt. They also wear red glooves and boots with orange soles.

The other type of cheerleader has fair skin and short brown hair. They wear a blue sleeveless uniform with a light blue Channel 5 logo printed in the chest, a yellow belt and yellow borders. They also wear blue glooves and boots with yellow soles.

Report 4: The End for Space Channel 5?!

Save the poor cheerleaders

Ulala finds the cheerleaders.

Once Ulala gets inside the Channel 5 studios, she will fight against some Silver Flyers then, find the Space Cheerleading Captains being forced to dance by the Rhythm Rogues. A shooting segment will start, where Ulala will need to copy the directions given by the captains to destroy Silver Flyers and save Channel 5 employees as well as the other cheer leaders. The captains will be available to be saved in the last move of this shooting segment.

Once the segment is over, the rescued Cheerleaders will follow Ulala celebrating. If the player saves the captains, the Cheerleaders will celebrate screaming "Go Go Go Go! Space Channel 5! Let's Dancing! Let's shooting! Sexy, Ulala, YEAH!"; in the Extra Mode version of the report, the Cheerleaders will celebrate screaming "O! D! E! N! - O D E N - ODEN!". If the player fails to save the captains, the cheerleaders will simply scream "Go Go Go Go! Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah! Go Go Go Go! Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah!" in both the normal and extra mode.

Shortly after being rescued, the Cheerleaders are left behind by Ulala, as she had to rush to the control room because the door was closing.

King Purge battle - Cheerleaders arrival

The cheerleaders in the Purge the King's boss battle.

Four of the Cheerleaders later return to assist Ulala and Space Michael in the battle against Purge the King. After the battle, they escape from the soon to self-destruct, Channel 5 Headquarters along with other employees.

Report 6: Purge's T.V. Special

The Cheerleading Captain returns to Report 6, where she assists Ulala in the final battle against Purge the Great and after Purge being launched into space, all of the Cheerleaders can be seen marching to the end of the galaxy.

When the player checks Space Cheerleader Moonie's in-game profile for the first time, she is gonna advise the player to assign the "Chu", "Hey" and "Up" commands all to the same button, claiming that this is gonna make the game easier.

Report 1: Morolians Strike Back!

Only Space Cheerleader Hitomi returns to Space Channel 5 VR, where she makes a small appearance under the name Pink Twintails. She appears as a hostage in the first report. In this game, Hitomi left the Cheerleading group to work in the field of culinary research and she is married with the owner of an Oden Factory.

Report 4: The Final Report

After the battle against Glitter, Hitomi can be seen helping the heroes getting enough Groove Moxie to launch Glitter into space. When Glitter leaves, she celebrates by dancing, like everyone else.

Trial Dance

Hitomi appears in the Trial Dance mini game to assist Jaguar in the Dance Battle against Ulala and the Twins. She appears when the player achieves 90% views and is defeated by achieving 100% views.

  • At the end of the Report 6 from Space Channel 5: Part 2, there are ten cheerleaders wearing blue uniforms marching to the end of the galaxy. However, only six of them have an In-Game Profile.
  • If one pays attention during the shooting segment against the Cheerleaders in Part 2, it is possible to notice that the Cheerleader Captains reuse Jaguar/Shadow dance animations when they say "up", "right", "left", "chu" and "hey".
  • Space Cheerleader 3 is one of the two characters in the series who is called "Mimi", the other is Pine's back-up Sexy 1.
